AMP Pavilion
London, 2018
Sometimes projects start as sketches – and then, fairly rapidly become real – while still managing to look like those first initial ideas. We were asked to develop ideas for a temporary pavilion outside some South London railway arches to enable arts & events company Maverick Project to maximise the use of their outside area. The pavilion needed to be economic and quick to build whilst creating an expressive landmark in an intensely urban setting.

Design
Quickly designed & constructed the scheme used simple repeating elements of scaffolding tubes with fabricated nodes to form elegant repeated trusses. The new structure needed to be demountable – and structurally independent of the existing railways arches.
